SUMMARY
The majority of professionals in a recent survey said that they were anxious about returning to the office after working remotely during the pandemic. What can managers and employees do to manage the transition? Employees need guidance and flexibility to decrease their anxiety if they decide to return to the office. Managers can provide regular updates about precautions they are taking and be transparent about the number of Covid-19 infections in the building. Providing a safe environment and allowing employees to feel heard can substantially decrease anxiety. Employees will expect compassion and flexibility from their bosses during this challenging time.
